The Tucker's Island lighthouse replica is the centerpiece of the Tuckerton Seaport. The original Tucker's Island lighthouse was located on Tucker's Island and was destroyed in a storm in the 1920s. Check their website for the hours of operation. Many New Jersey lighthouses, including this one, take part in the annual NJ Lighthouse Challenge. Then for this fall weekend one can climb it at night.The Lighthouse Hunters Experience:
We've been here several times since it was built in 2000. I climbed it on May 20, 2007. We both climbed it on March 20, 2010 after the presentation on low light photography from Gary Martin during a New Jersey Lighthouse Society - NJLHS meeting. This is a nice area to photograph any time of the year because of the water and the marsh grasses. I was a vendor during the Tuckerton Seaport's Bluegrass & BBQ Festival on May 20, 2007. We were vendors here during the 2006 and the 2008 New Jersey Lighthouse Challenges. Our tent displayed many lighthouse photographs from North America and our travel book.Photographed it: several times, the last visit was on March 20, 2010
